Ole Miss falls back to the 11 line with a loss against South Carolina (Colorado St. jumps to a 10). Teams on the brink of their respective lines include: Georgia as an 8/9, Oregon as a 10/9, Davidson as a 10/9, Oklahoma St. as a 9/10, Iowa as a 7/8, and Xavier as an 8/7. The games today are huge for seeding adjustments. A&M, Illinois, Old Dominion, and Stanford are all done. Rollforward adjustment tomorrow morning, deep dive on the weekend.

ANALYSIS: Took a deep dive into the seeds, many of which have simply been rollforwards of brackets previously made. Starting from the top. Oklahoma enters the 3 seed line with a win over Kansas; Baylor falls back to a 4 (neck and neck with the Irish for that (dis)honor). Utah's loss at Washington hurts them, but they hang on to their 4 seed for the time being. Wichita St.'s loss to Illinois State in the MVC tourney knocks them down to the 5 line where they will most likely stay. North Carolina is the benefactor of the Shockers's misfortune, as they now become the final 4 seed. Arkansas stays put at a 5 after an LSU loss. West Virginia jumps into a 5 slot after Providence's tough loss to Butler. The 6 seed line now houses 3 Big East schools. The 7 and 8 lines look completely different. St. John's, Iowa, and Michigan St. hop to the 7 line while San Diego St., Xavier, and Ohio St. fall back to the 8 line. After the deep dive, it is clear that Iowa/Sparty resumes are better than the Buckeyes's; likewise, the Johnnies (despite a shellacking to Nova) have a better resume than Xavier. San Diego St. just doesn't have enough wins to hang on to a 7 spot. The 9 seed line has two new arrivals in LSU and Cincy - Cincy was under-seeded at 10 previously and LSU's huge win at Arkansas cements their spot in the tourney. Dayton had the 9 seed but the loss to LaSalle keeps them at a 10 for now. Temple and Colorado St. both fall to 11 based on a second look at full body of work (Temple's Uconn win does help solidify their bid). On the 10 line, Oregon gets the nod as they are one of the hottest teams in the country. Purdue and Indiana remain in the play-in games as 11/12 seeds. BYU enters the field replacing Tulsa. Tulsa falls out of the auto-bid spot with SMU tied for the A-10 lead. Texas enters the field just edging out UCLA for the final spot. THIS BRACKET IS UPDATED PRIOR TO THE OUTCOME OF TULSA/SMU.

ANALYSIS: Davdison's enormous 27 point win versus VCU is the driver for the changes in seeding. With the win, Davidson moves to a 10 seed, safely out of the LFI group. Indiana replaces Davidson in the Last Four In. VCU falls from a 5 to a 7 with a lackluster performance and a 6-6 record in their last 12. Providence moves up to a 5 seed and Butler reclaims its 6 seed that it lost a few days ago. Stanford falls deeper into the abyss with a loss against Arizona St..

ANALYSIS: Some shifts after the games last night. Notre Dame's enormous road win at Louisville propels them to the 3 seed line. Louisville remains a 4. Notre Dame's arrival to the 3s sends Utah down to the 4 line and, as consequence, Arkansas falls back to a 5. Ohio St. moves up into a 7 seed after their win at Penn State. Michigan St. moves to the 8 line after a key win against Purdue. Upon further review, Oklahoma St. was a bit over-seeded in previous brackets, they move down to where they should sit at a 9 despite their solid win versus TCU. Purdue enters the field despite the loss to Sparty as the result of a deeper look at a Stanford team that really doesn't have the resume right now to be in the field. BYU is close on Purdue's heels.
